High Point University Hosts Faculty Exhibit

HIGH POINT, N.C., Jan. 30, 2007 - The 2007 High Point University Faculty Show is on display in the Sechrest Gallery through April 26. It is open Mondays through Thursdays from 1 - 5 p.m. A special reception will be held Feb. 6 at 11 a.m. in the gallery.

The works of seven fine art faculty members are on display, including paintings and drawings by Jessica Burke; paintings by Katie Davis; etchings by Cherl Harrison; still life paintings by Scott Raynor; sculptures by Lynn Sokoloski and Andrea Wheless; and abstract paintings by Lea Lackey-Zachmann.

"The faculty show offers an exciting presentation of work across a broad spectrum," said guest curator Maxine Campbell. "There's a wide range of media explored and a variety of approaches. This show is an expression of the immense talent, skill and innovative creativity of this diverse group."

The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular gallery hours.
