Even though most of the students are traveling for spring break, High Point University still has a lot of excitement going on! As Jason mentioned in his post earlier this week, we have many students doing alternative spring breaks as well as other extraordinary things.

Some exciting news this week–parents of our current High Point University student have committed $10 million to construct the new Center for Student Excellence. The facility will house the Office of Career and Internship Services, the Office of Study Abroad, the Center for Entrepreneurship, Service Learning and more. It will be the central resource for students preparing for job interviews, seeking internship and job opportunities, making arrangements to study abroad, and building a diverse foundation for their careers.

High Point University is committed to preparing students for their futures by building values and generating experiences inside and outside of the classroom. This addition will build upon the already strong resources the university provides.

This week, HPU’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will travel to Myrtle Beach for the Big South Tournament. The men’s teams claimed the No. 1 seed in the North Division and the women earned the No. 5 seed.
