Freshman Application Deadlines

Early Decision

Why Choose Early Decision? Namely, to have first-choice in everything at High Point University–dorm selection, fall class schedule, and more!

Early Decision (Priority 1) is for applicants who rank HPU as their first choice and desire to remove the stress of the college selection process. Early Decision is a binding agreement stating that, if admitted, you will withdraw applications from all other institutions and enroll at HPU. Students who apply under the Early Decision plan receive these benefits:

  • First Priority in selecting your ideal campus housing
  • First Priority in selecting your fall class schedule
  • Early Notification of admissions decision
  • Early opportunity to move your things into your new home before others
  • Early (December 1) assignment of your HPU Success Coach to begin planning your success at HPU
