High Point University Alumni Association recognizes the outstanding achievements that our alumni have accomplished through the presentation of the following awards: Lifetime Achievement Award Nominees for the Lifetime Achievement Award will be evaluated for their lifelong demonstrated leadership, professional attainment, community involvement, HPU involvement and leadership. Alumnus of the Year Nominees for Alumnus of the Year will be evaluated based on their achievement and great prominence in his or her career field. Selection is based on the person as whole, and their extraordinary service and support to the University. Young Alumni Achievement Award Nominees for Young Alumni Achievement Award will be evaluated on their outstanding promise in his/her field of endeavor, demonstrated leadership, and service to High Point University and/or their community. The award is to be given to an alumnus/a who is 35 years of age or younger. Alumni Service Award Nominees for Alumni Service Award will be evaluated on their volunteer service and contributions to the public on either a local, national or international level and/or to High Point University. General Requirements for All Nominees: 1. The recipient must be an alumnus/a of High Point College/University. 2. The recipient cannot have previously received the same award. 3. The recipient must be available to accept the award in person during Alumni Weekend. 4. Current employees of High Point University and/or their spouse are not eligible. Nominations are accepted from any alumnus or friend of the university.
