Diversity

High Point University is committed to diversity as an essential component of its academic curriculum, cultural programs, and in the composition of its faculty, staff, and student body. In support of this commitment, the University’s Diversity Committee, comprised of 6-8 faculty leaders from across the University, work to research, prioritize, and advocate for policies and programs that will stimulate and encourage an atmosphere of diversity among faculty, staff, and students.

Complementing these efforts, High Point students are also active in introducing fellow students to different cultures and perspectives through the student-led Diversity Club.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are not merely moral imperatives or societal goals, they can be a competitive advantage. Our continued success as a university rests in our collective ability to embrace a multitude of opinions, ideas, and beliefs so that we can effectively educate the next generation of leaders who are culturally responsive, knowledgeable, and globally engaged.
