Men's Soccer to Take on Winthrop
HPU men's soccer team is set to hit the road and take on Big South pre-season favorite Winthrop University tomorrow night at Eagle Field in Rock Hill, S.C. with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m.

Wallin Named Big South Player of the Week
High Point's Stephanie Wallin has been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Player of the Week as announced on Monday by the League office.
High Point University Volleyball partners with the Susan G. Komen Foundation to Raise Money and Awareness for Breast Cancer
The High Point University athletic department will be hosting a Barberito's Night on Monday, October 6th in cooperation with our "Dig for the Cure" Night scheduled for Friday, Oct. 10 when the volleyball team hosts Winthrop at 7:00 p.m. We encourage all students to come eat at Barberito's from 6-9 p.m. Barberito's will donate 10% of sales from this night to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

McDonalds-HPU Athlete of the Week
The McDonald's/HPU Athlete of the Week for Sept. 29 - Oct. 6 is volleyball player, Stephanie Wallin. The Plymouth, Minn. native, hit .422 and put down 34 kills and 3.78 kills per set to lead the Panthers to a 3-0 record in Conference play last week.  She got her week started with 10 kills, a .400 percentage at the net, three digs and two blocks as HPU downed Radford 3-0 on Sept. 30.  On Oct. 3, Wallin posted 12 kills, a .524 hitting percentage and two digs as the Panthers defeated Coastal Carolina, 3-0.  The next day against Charleston Southern, Wallin swatted 12 kills and posted one block and one dig as High Point closed the week out undefeated with its 3-0 win over the Lady Bucs. Wallin earned Big South Player of the Week honors for her performance this week. High Point University and McDonald's congratulate Stephanie on all of her accomplishments last week.
