HPU Interior Design Student Receives Scholarship Award

HIGH POINT, N.C., March 20, 2009 – Skylar Davis, a junior from Creedmoor, N.C., majoring in interior design at High Point University, was recently awarded the annual High Point Design Center Foundation 2008-2009 Scholarship Award.
The scholarship is awarded yearly to an outstanding student who is majoring in interior design – and Davis is a prime example of that.
“Skylar is an outstanding student who is a joy to teach in class,” says Stephen Huff, assistant professor of interior design at HPU. “She exemplifies the standards expected of graduates entering the industry. The Interior Design program is fortunate to have this caliber of student.”
Davis, who was awarded the scholarship on Feb. 4 during a networking dinner, plans to focus on residential design upon graduation.
