HIGH POINT, N.C., April 8, 2009 – The Kappa Delta sorority at High Point University is remembering U.S. troops during the Easter season by sending cards to show appreciation.

Kappa Delta has organized the Easter card effort, and more than 100 HPU students have participated by writing cards to thank military personnel for serving.

“Kappa Delta decided that we wanted to send (the military) thank-you cards during a holiday when many other people do not send stuff,” says Elizabeth Carty, Kappa Delta member. ?We had a great turnout from other HPU students wanting to thank them for everything they do for us every day. ? We thought this would be a great way and time for Kappa Delta and our university to say ‘thank you.'”

Kappa Delta is sending the cards to Fort Bragg in North Carolina.
