HIGH POINT, N.C., Sept. 14, 2009 – High Point University is celebrating its 85th birthday with festivities around campus. The birthday celebration began on Sept. 14 with a special proclamation by High Point Mayor Becky Smothers; the month-long birthday celebration will end with the Alumni and Family Weekend, to be held Oct. 2-4.
Other observations around campus throughout the month include special 85th anniversary flags. Also, a special venue has been created for alumni to leave HPU memories online.
