HIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 16, 2009 ? Members of the Inter-fraternity Council were “Freezin’ for a Reason,” thanks to a special fundraising event that raised money for the Salvation Army.
The “First IFC Polar Plunge: Freezin’ for a Reason,” which was held on Dec. 12, included a 3K run that ended in the Slane Student Center outdoor pool – for a quick and chilly dip.
“Fifty-eight people ran, which is great considering it was 39 degrees and raining,” says Meredith McCrea, Greek Life coordinator. “They raised $875, which was donated to the Salvation Army.”
