HPU Chair Of Performing Arts Department Has Play Selected For Anthology

HIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 30, 2009 ? Ed Simpson, chair of the Performing Arts Department and professor of theatre, has recently been selected as a featured playwright by Samuel French, Inc. in “Samuel Goes Solo: Monologues from French’s 2008 Collection.”

An excerpt from Simpson’s play “Additional Particulars” has been selected to be included in French’s anthology.

“Additional Particulars” won the 2000 LA Drama Critics Circle Award as Best Play, and was published in 2008 by French.

“This anthology will find a wide audience of actors and directors from all over the country, hopefully leading to even more productions of ‘Additional Particulars,'” says Simpson.
