05.20.2010

HIGH POINT, N.C., May 20, 2010 ? Bryan Collins was recently presented with the Richard P. Budd Distinguished Business Student Award during the Honors Day Awards Ceremony at High Point University.

Collins recently graduated from the Earl N. Phillips School of Business.

“Bryan exemplifies the spirit of the Richard P. Budd Distinguished Student Award,” says his former professor, Scott Davis, assistant professor of accounting. “With his strong work ethic and high intellect, Bryan managed to earn the second highest G.P.A. among School of Business graduating seniors. He did this in the demanding accounting program, while working full time.   He embodies the values of the Phillips School of Business as expressed on the Phillips School of Business logo: Knowledge, Leadership, and Integrity.”

The Richard P. Budd award was established in 1994 to honor Budd, an alumnus of High Point University, class of 1963. As a former chairman and current member of the Board of Trustees of High Point University, Budd is widely recognized for his civic contributions to the Triad and for his numerous business endeavors. His service and commitment to HPU are extraordinary. Each year, the Earl N. Phillips School of Business honors its best overall evening senior with the Richard P. Budd Award.
