Bryan McDermott, a rising senior at High Point University majoring in political science with a minor in finance, is investing his time wisely this summer in an investment bank at JP Morgan Chase & Co. in New York City.
As one of 600 interns globally at JP Morgan Chase & Co., McDermott is responsible for analyzing the information that is given by large international and domestic financial firms for eligible borrowers. Additionally, McDermott looks into the eligible borrower?s Net Asset Values (NAV) and their lendable assets (LA) and liabilities to grade them.
“I have learned a great deal in the four weeks I have worked here thus far, and all of it is relevant to my future career on Wall Street; specifically the internal workings of JP Morgan’s investment bank,” says McDermott.
