HIGH POINT, N.C., Aug. 13, 2010 – Jeremy Hiatt, a 2010 graduate of High Point University, has been busy getting career experience before entering the workforce by interning at Smith Leonard in High Point.
Hiatt, who graduated Cum Laude with a double major in accounting and finance, has served as an audit intern at the company ? actively helping on several corporate audits and employee benefit plan audits across different industries.
“I have been able to work side-by-side with manager and partners of Smith Leonard while working on various audit engagements,” Hiatt says. “I’ve been able to interact with clients such as corporate controllers and CFOs throughout the internship, and been able to establish professional relationships already.”
Hiatt says he has begun preparations for the CPA exam, which he will take later this year.
