HIGH POINT, N.C., Sept. 27, 2010 ? Marie Ventrone, a senior at High Point University, put her theatrical training to good use this summer by playing the lead role of Mimi Marquez in the Tony Award-winning production Rent, in Summit, N.J.
Ventrone is majoring in performance theatre, with a minor in vocal music, and is also a member of the Phi Mu sorority, Tower Players, Alpha Psi Omega honor society, and the Petal Points.
“Acting in Rent this summer was a great opportunity to learn and grow among fellow artists,” says Ventrone.
