HIGH POINT, N.C., Oct. 4, 2010 ? Dana Moore, a junior at High Point University, put her creative skills to good use this summer and won third place in the Chegg 12-second Video Contest.
“When I first saw Chegg’s video advertisement contest, I was thrilled,” says Moore. “As a graphic design major at HPU, I love creating new designs and coming up with ideas for advertisements that catch people’s attention.”
The requirements for the contest were to make a video advertisement for Chegg, an online textbook rental company, which could only last 12 seconds, and had to inform students about the company and include the company’s mascot. In the video, Moore created and edited a stop-motion video, wrote background music, and rapped along with the beat.
Moore, who is majoring in French and graphic design with minors in music and communication, also serves as the French club vice president, a French tutor, a resident assistant for the Office of Student Life at HPU, and is a member of the Pi Delta Phi French honor society.
“Because of the extraordinary education I am receiving, I was compelled to incorporate the HPU logo and Dr. Nido Qubein?s book How to Get Anything You Want into the video,” says Moore.
