HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 16, 2010 – Dr. Jonathan G. Cannon has been hired as visiting assistant professor of chemistry in the Department of Chemistry and Physics at High Point University.
In his new role, Cannon is responsible for teaching courses on general and biophysical chemistry and assisting students in conducting undergraduate research.
“The atmosphere of community at High Point University is so refreshing,” Cannon says. “I have never felt so welcomed or supported in a new place, particularly by the Chemistry and Physics faculty.”
Cannon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in molecular biology from Brigham Young University in Utah and a Doctorate in biophysics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
