HIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 2, 2010 – Ryan Hemsoth has been hired as instructor of theater and technical director in the Department of Theater at High Point University.
In his new role, Hemsoth is responsible for teaching various theater classes as well as managing student crews, budgeting, drafting, building, and technical and structural design.
“What first drew me to the position at HPU was the character and amenability of the faculty, and I have found that carrying over into my experiences with the students,” Hemsoth says. “There is a strong desire for progress and improvement in this department and I am very eager to be a part of that development.”
Hemsoth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater from The Ohio State University and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Theater from Purdue University. He is originally from Michigan.
