HIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 8, 2010 – High Point University celebrated the spirit of the season with more than 300 guests during the annual Lessons & Carols Candlelight Service on Dec. 8 in the Hayworth Chapel.
The meaningful program – which is based on the traditional festival of lessons and carols observed at King’s College Chapel in Cambridge, England – featured members of the High Point community, the Chapel Choir, Dr. Marc Ashley Foster, Dr. Alexa Schlimmer, the Board of Stewards, Alpha Delta Theta and Delta Iota Alpha.
After the service, guests sang carols during the lighting of the Hayworth Chapel Christmas Tree.
