HIGH POINT, N.C., Jan. 18, 2011 – The High Point University community knows how important it is to continue to support the agencies of the United Way of Greater High Point, so it?s not surprising that donations from faculty and staff went up significantly this year for the annual United Way Campaign. In fact, the number of those participating increased by 58 percent.
Not only did the number of participants increase, but the total number of giving went up as well. Giving this year totaled $143,137.10.
“The HPU family realizes how important it is to support the many agencies of the United Way. They truly help so many individuals in our area,” Scarborough says. “We continue to open our hearts each year to support this worthy cause.”
