Leder Joins HPU As Assistant Professor Of Psychology And Assistant Director Of The Survey Research Center

HIGH POINT, N.C., Jan. 5, 2010 ? Dr. Sadie Leder has been hired for a dual appointment as both an assistant professor in the psychology department and as the assistant director of the Survey Research Center at High Point University. Leder holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in social/personality psychology from the University at Buffalo, SUNY. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as a Master of Arts degree in experimental psychology from Wake Forest University.

Leder teaches courses in psychology, including Introduction to Psychology and the Psychology of Close Relationships. She also works in collaboration with the director of the Survey Research Center, Dr. Martin Kifer, to conduct high quality research examining social science phenomena from a number of different disciplines.

Prior to joining the faculty at High Point University, Dr. Leder earned the prestigious distinction of being named the 2010 national recipient of the Wilbert J. McKeachie Teaching Excellence Award, given by the Society for the Teaching of Psychology (APA Division 2).
