HIGH POINT, N.C., Feb. 24, 2011 – High Point University officials announced today that the University has purchased Oak Hollow Mall in High Point, N.C.
HPU has engaged the services of CBL and Associates Management, Inc. to manage the day-to-day operations. CBL is the same group that has operated the Mall since its opening. For the time being, Oak Hollow Mall employees and customers will see no change in the operation of the Mall. HPU officials will continue to evaluate the potential long-term uses for the property.
“High Point University is always interested in exploring opportunities that are beneficial for the City of High Point, the Piedmont Triad and the University,” says Dr. Nido Qubein, president of HPU. “After careful review and reflection, our Board of Trustees voted to purchase the property and to administer it with faithful stewardship.”
