HPU Choral Department To Perform Special Preview Of Carnegie Hall Concert For Community

HIGH POINT, N.C., Feb. 25, 2011 – Students in the Choral Department at High Point University have been offered the singing chance of a lifetime – the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall, the most prestigious concert stage in the United States. In preparation for the event, they will share a sneak peak of their performance in a “Preview Concert,” to be held at 6:30 p.m. on March 23 in the Hayworth Fine Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public.

The Carnegie Hall concert, set for March 28, will feature the talents of more than 120 students performing some of the most significant and important choral repertoire of today. Works that will be performed include: “Psuedo-Yoik,” by Jaakko M
