HIGH POINT, N.C., Feb. 7, 2011 ? More than 20 members of the Alpha Phi Omega coed service fraternity at High Point University recently hosted a senior prom for the residents of Piedmont Christian Home.
The event, which included live music by the Rob Massengale Entertainment Source and flowers donated by Grace Flower Shop in High Point, was one of several events that the fraternity hosts throughout the year. With more than 40 residents in attendance, the event was a success for both the residents and the fraternity.
“The prom was a huge hit,” says Lauren Ignozzi, service vice president of the fraternity. “Watching the resident’s smiling faces as they were dancing was the highlight of my night.”
HPU students volunteer more than 30,000 hours of service to the community each year.
