Choral Department Performs Spectacular Concert At Carnegie Hall

HIGH POINT, N.C., March 29, 2011 ? Students in the Choral Department at High Point University truly got the chance of a lifetime by having the unique opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall, the most prestigious concert stage in the United States.

?Having the opportunity to perform at such a prestigious venue was an experience that our students won?t soon forget,? says Dr. Marc Foster, chair of the Department of Music and director of choral activities at HPU. ?Our students gave a tremendous performance, and experiences such as this concert are a great example of the holistic education provided at HPU.?

The concert, which highlighted the talents of more than 120 students, featured some of the most significant and important repertoire of today, including ?Psuedo-Yoik,? by Jaakko M
