HPU Hires Thompson As Payroll Specialist

HIGH POINT, N.C., April 25, 2011 ? High Point University has hired Keysha Thompson as payroll specialist in the General Accounting Office.

In her new role, Thompson is responsible for processing payroll and benefits for HPU?s growing number of staff and faculty.

Thompson comes to HPU with approximately 3 years payroll experience. She is originally from Goldsboro, N.C.

HPU announced earlier this year that it would add 149 employees by August, bringing the total employment to more than 1,000. Since 2005, over 100 new full-time faculty positions have been added. The School of Health Sciences, proposed to open in 2014, will also create an additional 60 to 70 staff and faculty openings.
