HIGH POINT, N.C., April 27, 2011 ? Peter Mahler has been elected to the Board of Trustees at High Point University.
Mahler is a prominent business leader in both the domestic and international hosiery industries. He is the chief executive officer of Triad-based PAM Trading Corp., a full service equipment supplier to the industry founded in 1983.
Mahler lives in High Point with his wife, Mary. They have two daughters: Punkin and Janet.
He obtained his first executive position in the hosiery industry at age 30, when he was appointed to vice president of research and development at Fidelity Machine Co., Division of the Singer Sewing Machine Co. Mahler holds more than 30 U.S. patents for hosiery machinery as well as numerous foreign patents.
He also served on the High Point Regional Hospital Endowment Board.
