HIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 7, 2011 – More than 500 members of the High Point community were recently treated to a festive evening of Christmas music at High Point University’s annual Holiday Choral concert.
The performance featured the university’s choral ensembles, which was accompanied by a full orchestra made up of students, faculty and guests musicians. Directed by Dr. Marc Foster, chair of the Department of Music at HPU, the ensembles sang “The Many Moods of Christmas” by Robert Shaw, which is a celebration of the holiday spirit, including songs like “Silent Night,” “Away in a Manger,” “What Child is This?,” along with many other holiday favorites.
“Our Holiday Choral Concerts are fast becoming one of the favorite choral events of the year for students, faculty, staff, and the community,” Foster says.
