Sophomore to Host Bone Marrow Drive to Help Local High School Student with Leukemia

HIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 1, 2011 – Emily Guffey, a High Point University sophomore, remembers her carefree days of high school. She remembers the football and basketball games, the fun she had with friends and more. But she also remembers that it was during this time that her father donated bone marrow and was able to help a little girl in need. Seeing him selflessly go through the procedure for the sole purpose of helping another person moved her. Now, she wants to be able to give the same opportunity to a student who is just beginning his high school experience – Dylan Price, a freshman at Page High School in Greensboro, who is battling his second bout of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
