HPU Welcomes Community to Greensboro Symphony Performance

HIGH POINT, N.C., Jan. 12, 2012 – High Point University will delight audiences with a complimentary performance of the Greensboro Symphony, to be held at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 20 in the Pauline Theater of the Hayworth Fine Arts Center. The concert kicks off the university’s spring Cultural Enrichment Series, which offers numerous other complimentary performances and events throughout the spring semester.

The concert, which will be led by conductor Dmitry Sitkovetsky and feature guest cellist Sergei Antonov, includes works by Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Rachmaninov and Stravinksy.

“We’re excited to begin a new line-up of events that welcome members of the community to this campus,” says Don Scarborough, vice president of Community Relations. “We look forward to sharing the cultural arts with them.
