HIGH POINT, N.C., May 10, 2012 – The Department of Institutional Advancement at High Point University recently hired Mindy Mahrer as assistant director of alumni relations.
In her new position, Mahrer, a native of Georgia, will be responsible for enhancing and overseeing the communication and marketing amongst alumni chapters, young alumni and reunion programs.
“I am excited about the opportunity to work with students and graduates of High Point University, keeping them engaged in all the extraordinary accomplishments that are happening here,” says Mahrer.
In addition to her work at HPU, Mahrer is currently serving her second year of a volunteer term as National Board of Trustees President of Sigma Alpha Omega Christian Sorority, Inc.
Mahrer received a Bachelor of Business Administration in management from Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, Ga. She is currently completing a Master of Education in student affairs higher education administration from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and will graduate in June.
