HIGH POINT, N.C., May 8, 2012 – Dr. Alexander (Al) Ward has been elected to the Board of Trustees at High Point University.
Ward serves as senior pastor of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and maintains an active role in community service in the Piedmont Triad. He serves on the Board of Directors at Hinton Rural Life Center in Hayesville and on the Board of Trustees at The Children’s Home in Winston-Salem.
A native of Durham, he graduated from High Point University in 1974. He went on to receive his Master’s in Divinity at Duke Divinity School and a Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary.
He and his wife, Miriam, have two daughters, Erin Ward and Meredith Vaughn.
