HIGH POINT, N.C., Oct. 11, 2012 – High Point University will host its Graduate School Preview Day from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 27. The event will give prospective students the opportunity to see the many advanced degree programs that are available on campus.
The preview day will provide an overview of programs offered in the graduate school, as well as a synopsis of the admissions process, campus tours, a panel discussion with program directors, and a GRE/GMAT overview provided by Kaplan.
Faculty and staff will also be on-hand to answer questions and provide details about each program, including the benefits and rewards of earning a graduate degree through HPU.
An additional focus this year will include a community segment for community and business leaders to discover how supporting employees earning graduate degrees can be beneficial to their company.
The programs featured include, Ed.D. in Educational Leadership; masters programs in strategic communication, nonprofit management, MBA, educational leadership, elementary education and history.
“Our annual preview day was established to allow prospective students a broader picture of enrolling in High Point University’s graduate programs,” says Tracy Collum, associate dean of the Norcross Graduate School. “Rather than a one-hour open-house, here, prospective students have the opportunity to explore various graduate programs, talk to current students and faculty, tour the dynamic buildings their classes will be held in, as well as learn from a complimentary GRE or GMAT prep session. All of these functions will help prospective graduate students learn which program at High Point University will fit their career and personal goals.”
