In July, Schneid authored and published “Napoleonic Wars,” a bibliographic and historiographical exploration of the most significant and recent English language histories of the Napoleonic Wars. It is published by Potomac Books and is intended for those who are new to the field of Napoleonic military history.
In June, he authored and published “The Second War of Italian Unification, 1859-1861” with Osprey Publishing’s “Essential Histories Series.” It is a short history of the war that united the Italian peninsula.
In May, Schneid edited and published “The Projection and Limitations of Imperial Powers, 1618-1850.” The book is a collection of selected papers presented during the first five years of the Gunther E. Rothenberg Seminar hosted by HPU’s history department. The chapters are authored by internationally renowned scholars and the book is part of the award-winning “History of Warfare Series,” published by Brill.
“It is a pleasure to see several years of work come to fruition. These books represent the three areas of military history in which I am most engaged,” says Schneid.
