Baseball Team Spends Evening Dancing at Retirement Home

11.1.2012

The High Point University baseball team got together with the residence of the Pennybyrn Retirement Community for their “Homecoming Dance.”

This year marked the fourth year of the dance with the baseball team.

“This is something they look forward to all year long,”  said Lynn Johnson of Pennybyrn.

Craig Cozart, High Point’s baseball coach is proud Pennybyrn thinks of him and his team every year.

“Holistic learning is an important part of the educational experience here at HPU,” Cozart notes. “Spending time with the folks at Pennybyrn is a natural extenstion of the values of service and fellowship that we want our students to inherit.”

One of the players said he enjoyed the dance, even though he didn’t recognize many of the songs they danced to.
