12.13.2012

High Point University/FSP Christmas giftsHIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 13, 2012 – High Point University’s Nido R. Qubein School of Communication faculty, staff and students donated Christmas gifts to four families from the Family Service of the Piedmont from their holiday wish lists.

Gifts were purchased for 11 children and four mothers. The faculty, staff and students also donated items from FSP’s general list that will be given to other families in need. The gifts included winter coats, baby clothes, toys, more than $400 in gift cards, diapers and much more.

The moms will wrap the gifts for their children, and the gift cards will be used to purchase food and other necessities.

“I was so touched by the gifts for the moms,” says Stephanie Allred, marketing and development specialist for Family Service of the Piedmont. “So many people don’t think of the women who are taking their kids out of bad situations, so I know these gifts will mean a lot to the women.”
