USA Today College Features Interior Design Major’s Work

Posted on January 30, 2013.

Madison Lewis, HPU, USA Today College, Interior DesignUSA Today College featured a High Point University dorm room theme that was created by interior design major Madison Lewis.

Lewis, who plans to double major in marketing as well, says the theme reflects her HPU pride as well the university’s top-10 ranked interior design program.

“I had so much fun dreaming up a High Point dorm room,” said Lewis, a freshman who serves as journalist for the national education website. “This is my third time being published by USA Today College, but each time is more exciting than the next. My future plans are to be an event designer/planner while doing freelance residential interior design work. I never really saw myself as a writer, but having been introduced into the world of journalism I may squeeze in a design book into my future.”

HPU’s interior design program is ranked one of the top 10 undergraduate design programs in the country by “DesignIntelligence” journal. The rankings are part of the 11th annual “America’s Best Architectural and Design Schools” study.
