Chamber Ensembles to Perform ‘Kaleidoscope’ Concert
HIGH POINT, N.C., Feb. 5, 2013 – The High Point University Department of Music will entertain university and community members with the sounds of “Kaleidoscope,” as part of the university’s Cultural Enrichment Series. The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 19 in the Hayworth Fine Arts Center. The event is open to the public; no tickets are required.
The concert will feature various small instrumental ensembles, including flute, woodwind, brass and orchestra in this non-stop musical event.
“This is HPU’s first ever ‘Kaleidoscope’ concert, where all of the various ensembles will be positioned throughout the performance hall while performing one after another with little to no break,” says Danny Frye, director of instrumental studies. “The fun will not stop until the final note.”
