HPU Welcomes Murray as Communication Specialist

HPU High Point UniversityHIGH POINT, N.C., April 25, 2013 – High Point University recently welcomed Nora Murray as communication specialist in the Office of Communications.

In her position, she is responsible for writing articles and press releases that highlight the latest news and events at HPU.

“As a resident of High Point, I am thrilled to be working with an institution that gives so much back to the community,” says Murray. “I hope to motivate and encourage current and prospective students by sharing the university’s inspiring stories.”

Murray has degrees in journalism and mass communications from the University of Wisconsin. She has more than eight years of experience in television news and is the recipient of the Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Large Market Newscast, the Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Large Market: Best Continuing Coverage, Regional Best Large Market Newscast, and was also nominated for two Midwest Emmys.

She volunteers for the Jim “Catfish” Hunter chapter of the ALS Association.
