04.25.2013

HPU High Point University KD SororityHIGH POINT, N.C., April 15, 2013 – High Point University’s Kappa Delta sorority raised more than $2,000 for child abuse prevention at their second “All Things Southern Fishing Tournament.”

Eighty percent of the proceeds stayed in High Point, going to Family Service of the Piedmont. The rest was sent to the national Prevent Child Abuse America organization.

“This is our second year hosting the All Things Southern Fishing Tournament and it has continued to be a success,” said Kappa Delta sister Molly Phalen. “Even with the overcast skies our peers still came out to support us. We are looking forward to what next year will bring!”

About 300 people attended the fishing tournament.
