HPU to Host Summer Entertainment with Annual Eastern Music Festival

Eastern Music FestivalHIGH POINT, N.C., June 24, 2013 – High Point University will host an evening of musical entertainment with the Eastern Music Festival, an annual event held on campus. The event will be held at 7:30 p.m. on July 10 in the Pauline Theatre of the Hayworth Fine Arts Center. The event is open to the public; professional dress is required.

The performance will include light classical and pop repertoire, which will be presented by the EMF’s Young Artists full orchestra.

The Eastern Music Festival & School, founded in 1961, is one of the country’s most prestigious training and performance programs for young orchestral and piano scholars. For 50 years, the EMF’s sole purpose has been to meet the needs of these aspiring artists in their quest to become superior musicians.
