HIGH POINT, N.C., Aug. 6, 2013 – High Point University was recently chosen as a member of the 2013-2014 Colleges of Distinctions, a unique online college guide dedicated to honoring schools nationwide for their excellence in student-focused higher education. This is the third year in a row HPU has been included on the list.
The Colleges of Distinction list is based upon exemplary commitment to four distinctions: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant communities and successful outcomes. HPU excelled in all four areas and is one of eight universities in North Carolina to be included on the list.
HPU was chosen as a “College of Distinction” because well-rounded graduates, who are among the best in the country, are created here. This distinction recognizes HPU’s goal to prepare students to lead lives of significance.
“High Point University is once again honored to have been recognized by Colleges of Distinction,” says Dr. Dennis Carroll, provost and vice president of Academic Affairs. “One key to HPU’s success is faculty who truly care about their students. Our holistic learning approach reflects 21st century knowledge and trends, connecting a liberal arts education with career-focused outcomes.”
