HIGH POINT, N.C., Oct. 31, 2013 – Superheroes, princesses and a few monsters filled the halls of High Point University’s Women’s Complex on Wednesday. HPU’s Big Brothers Big Sisters Club held their fourth annual trick-or-treat event for their little brothers and sisters.

For the first time, the club organized a special pre-trick-or-treat party for their “littles” that included games, pizza and face painting.

“We wanted to give them a little something extra to remember the event,” explained club president and HPU sophomore Erin Sullivan. “The party allows them to spend more time on campus, with their friends and with their big brother or sister from HPU.”

After the party, the “littles” trick-or-treated through dorm halls, getting compliments on their costumes and, of course, candy.

“This event just keeps getting better,” says Teresa Jackson, program specialist for Big Brothers Big Sisters. “HPU students did a fabulous job of putting this year’s event together, especially the party. This really is a wonderful opportunity for our little brothers and sisters to spend time on a college campus and to spend time with their ‘bigs.’”
