HIGH POINT, N.C., Oct. 28, 2013 – Members of High Point University’s Board of Stewards kicked-off the Halloween season with a special Trunk-or-Treat event for the Boys and Girls Club at West End Ministries.
The HPU students dressed up, handed out candy and school supplies, painted faces and sprayed the hair of the Boys and Girls Club members.
“It was an awesome experience to bring happiness to the children at West End Ministries,” said senior Rachel Downey.
“The HPU students were great,” said Byron Murrain, director of the Boys and Girls Club. “The kids had fun, loved the face painting and especially loved their hair getting sprayed.”
HPU’s Board of Stewards is a group of students dedicated to lending a hand to the community through various service projects, buying gifts for needy children, providing meals for the hungry and much more.
