HPU Adds Smith to Admission Staff

11.7.2013

HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 7, 2013 – The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at High Point University recently hired Sally Smith as a regional admissions counselor.

Smith is responsible for working with prospective HPU students and aiding in the admissions process.

“I will be able to impact students by encouraging excellent applicants who will enhance the culture and contribute to the long range success of the extended community,” says Smith.

Smith was awarded the Alumni Achievement Award from Plymouth State University, and she is a certified mediator and certified educational planner. She received her Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of New Hampshire and a Master of Education in counseling human relations from Plymouth State University.

“It is remarkable to be able to promote an institution of higher education that serves so many and is a model for success. I enjoy being part of a culture that is caring, and student-centered with high standards of service,” says Smith. “Also, as a parent of a current student, I can personally attest to the results of a community that challenges students while nurturing their talents to prepare them for life after college.”
