HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 20, 2013 – High Point University’s Department of Academic Development recently hired James Lowrey as a Learning Excellence specialist.
His responsibilities include providing one-on-one academic success coaching for students enrolled in the Learning Excellence program at HPU.
Lowrey, a Nationally Certified Counselor who also has experience in student affairs and academic success coaching, hopes to impact students by providing a supportive environment for them to learn new skills for academic success.
“I am very excited to begin my career in higher education at HPU and am thrilled to be a part of such a dynamic and growing university,” Lowrey says. “I am eager to help students reach their full academic potential at HPU.”
Lowrey earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Wake Forest University, as well as a Master of Science in counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
