HPU to Host 43rd Annual Prayer Breakfast Featuring Rev. Dr. Donald Wilton

HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 27, 2013 – High Point University will kick-off the holiday season with the 43rd Annual Prayer Breakfast, featuring Rev. Dr. Donald J. Wilton. The event starts at 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 6 in the Millis Athletic and Convocation Center and is open to the public.

Dr. Don Wilton has been the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church, Spartanburg, S.C. since 1993. He is the founder and president of The Encouraging Word broadcast ministry which has the potential to reach households in 158 countries through television, radio, and the internet. He is also a frequent speaker for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Schools of Evangelism and for The Cove.

The annual event includes special music provided by the HPU Chapel Choir, directed by Dr. Marc Foster, as well as a silent prayer held in memory of alumni, members of the university family and the community, as well as other friends who have passed away during the past year.

Parking and shuttle buses are available from the JC Penney lot at Oak Hollow Mall beginning at 6:45 a.m. Handicap parking with a handicap placard will be available in front of the Millis Athletic/Convocation Center.
