HPU Welcomes Valle as Learning Excellence Specialist

HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 26, 2013 – High Point University recently hired Laura Valle as learning excellence specialist in the Academic Development Department.

In this position, Valle is responsible for tracking student progress, assisting in student organization and study skills, and referring students to helpful resources.

“My hope is to help students gain skills and assets that will lead them to be successful in college and beyond the classroom,” says Valle. “I am very excited to become part of such a prestigious educational institution and fantastic staff.”

A former elementary school counselor and teacher’s assistant, Valle worked previously in self-contained classrooms for students with Autism.

Valle received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Westfield State University, and a Master of Arts in school counseling from Azusa Pacific University.
