Connect with the Career & Internship Services Office

12.9.2013

As the holidays begin, you and your student will have the joy of spending about three weeks together.  In addition to family celebrations and connecting with friends, this time can be used to have conversations and experiences that can sharpen the focus for your child’s future.  You are one of your student’s most valuable resources for networking and identifying suitable career options, and as such, we invite you to partner with Career & Internship Services.  We hope you will take a careful look at our freshly revised brochure and will strategically discuss with your student how our office can assist – click here.    In last month’s newsletter we highlighted our Informational Interviewing Guide and stressed that the holidays are a great time to conduct these kinds of interviews.  Something magical happens when professionals are asked to “tell their story” and give advice.  Few people can resist.   Click here for the Guide.  If your student would like to meet with a staff member in Career & Internship Services for guidance on any of the topics listed in the brochure, please encourage him/her to email Jen Paolino at paolij05@highpoint.edu to schedule an appointment with a professional Career Advisor.
