Diversity Club Helps Feed Hundreds with Donation to Open Door Ministries

12.3.2013

HIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 3, 2013 – High Point University’s Diversity club helped make sure High Point families had a happy Thanksgiving.

The club donated more than $850 dollars to Open Door Ministries of High Point, providing food for 500 individuals and families.

“This contribution certainly is a great help to us in our ability to continue our services to the greater High Point community,” said Leslie Graham, director of donor services for Open Door Ministries. “We are so very grateful for the support.”

“The response we received from the HPU family was incredible,” said Marissa Pierre, vice president of Diversity Club. “It warms my heart to know that the money we helped raise allowed hundreds of less fortunate families to celebrate Thanksgiving with a delicious meal.”
